Conference "Reaching Net Zero through International Solidarity: The Challenges of International Energy and Climate Law in an Isolationist World" Pau University Campus, Presidency Building, Amphitheatre
Le 12 mai 2025 de 10h30 à 12h30

Established in 1983, the Academic Advisory Group (AAG) of the International Bar Association’s Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure Law (SEERIL) is a network of academic lawyers that carry out research and teaching in areas pertinent to SEERIL. For over four decades, the AAG has undertaken cutting-edge research on various aspects of energy and natural resources law, and has published a substantial book each year (2024 book, published by Oxford University Press in 2024 : "Net Zero and Natural Resources Law"). In addition to research and publications, the AAG actively promotes collaborative activities and events.
The European Research Platform on Energy and Climate Law is an innovative interface between the worlds of scientific knowledge and public decision-making. Founded by the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, the Université Paris Dauphine-PSL and the Maison Française d'Oxford in 2024, the Platform, directed by Louis de Fontenelle and coordinated by the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, is based on an interdisciplinary network of legal researchers, open to multidisciplinarity. Its aim is to analyse the guiding principles and mechanisms of the European Union's energy and climate policies through the prism of the concept of energy justice. The Platform has a threefold mission: to produce knowledge collectively by bringing together the European scientific community around a common goal, to disseminate this knowledge by organising high-level joint scientific events, and to transfer this knowledge by producing policy briefs.
The Academic Advisory Group of the International Bar Association's Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law and the European Research Platform on Energy and Climate Law are organising a conference on the challenges of international energy and climate law in an isolationist world, which must be overcome to achieve net zero through international solidarity.
