Taha NAMRI

Taha NAMRI is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Mohammed V University in Rabat, researching the socio-economic impacts of climate change in Africa, particularly in Morocco. He holds a master’s degree in economics focused on the economic costs of gender gaps.

He also serves as a teaching assistant in Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Environmental Economics at the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences of Rabat-Agdal.

His research explores gender and youth inequalities in the labor market, green monetary policy, and the interlinkages between climate change, economic growth, and inflation in the MENA region and Africa, with several of his papers presented at international conferences.

In 2023, he was selected as an IMF Youth Fellow and participated in the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Marrakech, where he was a panelist in the “Managing Director’s Dialogue with Tomorrow’s Leaders: The Future of Inclusive Growth in MENA” session.
